Morva Thomson

Bio

I was born and raised near Taupiri in the Waikato but have lived in Gisborne since 1976.

I've had a strong relationship with fabric and textiles for many years, regularly attending workshops or online art courses worldwide to maintain and extend my learning and skills. My work continually changes and at times is hard to define. I'm currently enjoying working with hand stitch on my own versions of dyed cloth and papers.

Description

My stitched textile is a narrative exploration of the different aspects we experienced with Cyclone Gabrielle.

There are 5 individual scrolls which serve to remind us of the wind and rain, the slips and mud, the slash and damage, the despair of red stickered properties and finally the re-greening that nature gifts to repair and heal.

In remembering what happened, we come to realize that there are also strong stories about Aroha, support, comeradeship, togetherness, respect and rebuilding.

Timothy Livingston

The opportunity you have in life and business is to make choices that bring your WHY to life.

For me, my WHY is to create connection. To create meaningful and emotional connections with your communities, tribe, clients, business partners, customer. My job is to help you find it, clarify it, amplify it, and design it.

With over 15+ years of experience in graphic design specialising in brand development across digital media & print, my skill set is not just that of your average creative... on a typical day I can identify insights, come up with ideas, get excited about strategic marketing, execute outstanding campaigns, craft identities, websites, and everything in-between. Working on award-winning creative campaigns while delivering high-quality work with attention to detail is all in a days job… Coffee anyone?
